Police expose banned Right Sector cell in Russia — interior minister
Vladimir Kolokoltsev also said that the law enforcement suppressed the functioning of a number of banned organizations
MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Police have exposed a cell of the banned Right Sector and a number of other organizations in Russia last year, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said at an enlarged board meeting.
"The priority task remains countering extremism and neutralizing the activities of radical structures. The police have uncovered a cell of the banned Ukrainian Right Sector, as well as suppressed the functioning of a number of banned organizations," he said.
Last year, on the basis of the Interior Ministry’s evidence 44 organizations were recognized as undesirable and blacklisted. In addition, 127 legal entities and 37 individuals were included in the register of foreign agents. Also, the police suppressed the attempts to disseminate inaccurate information about the activities of the Russian army its discrediting: 124 crimes in this area were solved.
