NEW YORK, March 27. /TASS/. American-Israeli psychologist and Nobel Prize winner in economics Daniel Kahneman has died at the age of 90, as confirmed by his step-daughter to The Washington Post.
The scientist was one of the founders of behavioral economics, as well as the creator of prospect theory, a decision-making model under conditions of uncertainty and risk.
Daniel Kahneman, born March 5, 1938 in Tel Aviv, received the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2002 for "integrating psychological research into economic science." He is also the author of the New York Times bestselling psychological book Thinking, Fast and Slow.
