Alexander Bortnikov recalled how the FSB had previously prevented terrorist attacks in regions bordering Ukraine and other regions of Russia

MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. The threat of terrorist acts in Russia remains, Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov has told the media.

"Yes, unfortunately it is true," he said, while answering journalists' questions after participating in the enlarged meeting of the Prosecutor General's Office board.

Bortnikov recalled how the FSB had previously prevented terrorist attacks in regions bordering Ukraine and other regions of Russia, organized by Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

"This was last year and is happening now," he noted.

When asked by journalists whether the SBU should be recognized as a terrorist organization, Bortnikov answered in the affirmative.

"We should do this. Of course, yes. I believe that this is a reason enough not only to consider it this way, but also to make appropriate decisions," he said.
