DONETSK, March 18. /TASS/. Final voter turnout in the Russian presidential election in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) stands at 88.25%, Vladimir Vysotsky, chairman of the regional election commission, said at a briefing.
"Voter turnout was 88.25%," he announced.
Vysotsky added that 708 local election commissions and 1,455 observers were working in the DPR.
With 100% of the ballots counted in the DPR, Vladimir Putin is in the lead with 95.23% of the vote, followed by Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) nominee Nikolay Kharitonov (1.62%), Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) nominee Leonid Slutsky (1.53%) and New People party nominee Vladislav Davankov (1.35%).
