Russia’s readiness to new viruses at high level — regulator

MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. Russia has a high level of readiness to appearance of new viruses and infections, the press service of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare told reporters.
"Readiness to new infection challenges is at a high level in Russia at present. The ‘Sanitary Shield’ infection countering system is functioning. The network of PCR centers is being evolving. Quick and high-technology domestic test systems were developed. Sanitary and quarantine monitoring and the Perimeter automated information system is functioning at state border crossing points," the Russian watchdog said.

Russian specialists are engaged in development of new vaccines and testing systems. Specialists of the Russian watchdog are interacting with representatives of other country to promptly detect emerging threats and react timely against them, the regulator added.
