NEW YORK, March 5. /TASS/. Malfunctions in the work of Facebook and Instagram (banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, which is deemed extremist in Russia) are observed in a number of countries, according to the Downdetector service, which tracks the work of popular Internet resources.

According to the service, 72% of Facebook users who reported about malfunctions are struggling to log in, 64% of Instagram users are experiencing problems with the mobile application. Most complaints come from the United States.

Over 359,000 people reported failures on Facebook, and 56,000 people informed about Instagram's malfunctioning.
