Over 131,000 Donbass residents harmed by Kiev’s forces since 2014 — top investigator
The Russian Investigative Committee has opened more than 4,300 criminal probes into the Kiev regime’s crimes in Donbass since 2014
MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Russia’s Investigative Committee has recognized over 131,000 Donbass residents as people harmed by the Kiev regime’s crimes since 2014, Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin told TASS on Wednesday.
"In all, over 131,000 people have been recognized as victims since 2014. More than 5,500 people have been killed and over 13,000 other civilians have been wounded as a result of unlawful actions by Ukrainian armed formations. To date, defenseless women, children and elderly people remain victims of Ukrainian nationalists," Russia’s top investigator said.
The Russian Investigative Committee has opened more than 4,300 criminal probes into the Kiev regime’s crimes in Donbass since 2014. About 2,800 probes into the Ukrainian army’s shelling of civilians and civilian infrastructure have been consolidated into a single file, he said.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation, 2,307 criminal probes into the shelling of civilians have been opened," Bastrykin said.
