MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Apple paid the biggest antitrust fine in Russia for 2023, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) announced on its Telegram channel.
"The largest fine in the amount of 906 million rubles ($9.8 mln) in 2023 was paid by Apple for abusing its dominant position on the market of mobile applications on the iOS system," the statement said.
In total, according to the department, the budget received 5.8 billion rubles ($63 mln) in antimonopoly fines for 2023. In particular, monetary penalties imposed by the central office of FAS amounted to 2.4 billion rubles ($26.1 mln), fines imposed by the territorial agencies of the antitrust regulator totaled 3.4 billion rubles ($37 mln).
