Number of COVID cases in Russia is 7 times lower than in many European countries — expert
"All the measures that we take give us reason to believe that we are doing everything right, precisely because the numbers are not growing," Anna Popova added
MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. The number of COVID cases in Russia is 7 times lower than in many European countries, Head of Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing Anna Popova told reporters.
"If we compare our numbers with those in other countries, then today <...> our COVID incidence rate is seven times lower than in a number of European countries," she said.
"All the measures that we take give us reason to believe that we are doing everything right, precisely because the numbers are not growing," Popova added.
According to her, Russia is the only country that tests every person seeking medical attention for cold and COVID at the expense of budgetary funds, allowing for the rapid localization of any virus transmission.
