WHO representative Vujnovic hopes diplomacy prevails in 2024
Melita Vujnovic noted that not everything depends on Russia in this business, but admitted that the high standards of the Russian diplomacy make her optimistic
MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. World Health Organization representative Melita Vujnovic, who wraps up her mission to Russia, believes that the world will become better in 2024, and diplomacy will prevail.
"I hope that the world will become better in 2024. I am an irredeemable optimist. And I hope that diplomacy will once again be able to speak louder than something else," she told TASS.
She added that not everything depends on Russia in this business, but admitted that the high standards of the Russian diplomacy make her optimistic.
"Of course, this does not depend on Russia alone. But I have high hopes. I will say honestly: the thing that I will remember about Russia is the very-very serious, qualitative level of the Foreign Ministry and the Health Ministry, the Rospotrebnadzor [Russia’s consumer rights and human well-being watchdog agency - TASS] and other ministries. The level of international diplomacy, not technical expertise alone, is absolutely impressive. I am very glad that I had an opportunity to work with such people here," she noted.
In addition, Vujnovic wished the people of Russia good health, "which will depend on good mood, readiness to be good people with own families and own society."
"To work on all this exactly is what our international mission and education demand. Of course, I wish you luck," she concluded.
