Fires resulting from Ukrainian attack on Feodosia stamped out, emergency official says
Damage done to the adjacent residential blocks is currently being assessed, Igor Skurtul noted
SIMFEROPOL, December 26. /TASS/. Fires that erupted as a result of last night’s Ukrainian attack on Feodosia have been localized and stamped out, a senior regional emergency official told reporters.
"So far, all fires [resulting from the attack] have been localized and liquidated, but an Emergencies Ministry team is still working at the scene. In all, the [relief] effort has involved 250 people and 50 pieces of equipment since the call," said Igor Skurtul, deputy chief of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Crimean department.
Damage done to the adjacent residential blocks is currently being assessed, he added.
In the small hours on Tuesday, Ukrainian forces conducted an attack on Feodosia leaving one killed and four others injured. Six buildings were damaged in the city, with several people evacuated to temporary accommodation centers. Transport infrastructure is functioning normally; there are no restrictions on passenger traffic.
