Russia, China face key task of organizing high-level Years of Culture 2024-2025, Xi says
According to the Chinese leader, in the next two years Russia and China must strengthen the social basis for the enduring friendship between the two countries
BEIJING, December 20. /TASS/. Moscow and Beijing must devote special attention to the joint task of effectively organizing the Russian-Chinese Years of Culture (2024-2025) and hold a greater range of diverse cultural events over the next two years, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Beijing.
"In the next two years, we must properly conduct the Chinese and Russian Years of Culture, develop and carry out more diverse events for humanitarian and cultural exchanges, as well as strengthen the social basis for the enduring friendship between the two countries," Xi said.
The Russian prime minister is visiting Beijing on December 19-20. Earlier, he met with his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, for the 28th regular meeting between the Russian and Chinese heads of government.
