Russian passports were seized from two naturalized citizens that were found guilty of drug trafficking
MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russia has for the first time revoked citizenship over a criminal offense under a law that came into force in October, the Moscow office of the Interior Ministry said.
Russian passports were seized from two naturalized citizens that were found guilty of drug trafficking, the ministry said. One of them possessed 19 mephedrone packages and the other one package with a similar synthetic drug, according to the ministry.
"Decisions have been made to terminate Russian citizenship for the two men. Their Russian passports have been taken away," the ministry said.
