MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. About 56% of Russians polled are satisfied with their quality of life, according to the results of a survey by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM).

"For the most part, Russians are satisfied with their standard of living. Similar to a year earlier, more than half of our fellow citizens (56%) stated this in the November poll, since last fall this share has not fallen below 55%," the research center said in a statement.

Nearly a quarter of respondents (24%) were neutral about their way of life and 18% are not satisfied with how they are living. "Thus, the life satisfaction index, calculated on the basis of the responses received, amounted to 62 points out of 100 possible in November 2023," the study specifies.

According to VCIOM, the majority of respondents (65%) consider the current situation in the country to be good. Since November 2022, this share has increased by 9%. "As a result, the index marking how good or bad the situation in the country is, calculated as the difference between positive and negative answers, has shown almost twofold growth since last November, amounting in the last fall month of 2023 to 35 p. out of the maximum 100 (against 20 p. in November 2022)," the release says.

According to the survey results, every second respondent (52%) said that the country is on the right path. This index about the course of the country this November exceeded the value from the same period in 2022 and amounted to 59 p. out of 100.
