DUBAI, December 5. /TASS/. Russia expects that final decisions of the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) will target a practical result, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladimir Ilyichev told TASS.

"We expect that no ungrounded and ultra-ambitious commitments will be adopted in conclusion of the event. One of the tasks of our presence [at the COP28] is to achieve that decisions made are balanced and real for performance," he noted.

Russia speaks for recognition of all low-emission technologies and fuels, including natural gas, as an important part of the green transformation process along with the renewable energy sector, Ilyichev added.

The COP28 will continue until December 12.
