About 50 flights delayed and canceled at Moscow airports
Delays of up to 2 hours are common at airports
MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. About 48 flights have been canceled and delayed for arrivals and departures in Moscow airports, according to the online scoreboard of airports in the region.
As of 08:15 Moscow time, 19 flights were delayed at Domodedovo airport, three were cancelled. At Vnukovo airport, 12 flights were delayed, in Sheremetyevo airport, nine flights were delayed and two cancelled, in Zhukovsky three flights were delayed.
Delays of up to 2 hours are common at airports. When calculating statistical data on delays of charter and regular flights the Federal Air Transport Agency does not take into account delays of less than two hours. Moreover, all Moscow airports are all-weather, so changes in the schedule are usually minor.
Earlier, Roman Vilfand, research director at the Russian Hydrometeorogolical Center, told TASS that Muscovites could expect the heaviest snowfall, which happens once every 40 years.
