First refugees from Palestine arrive in Russia’s Dagestan
They were met by the chairman of the regional government Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov
MAKHACHKALA, November 25. /TASS/. The first 50 people evacuated from Palestine arrived in Russia’s Dagestan, they were met by the Prime Minister of the republic, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov.
"Currently, about 50 people, who have arrived in the republic, are on their way to the temporary accommodation point, where conditions were created for their comfortable stay. Our county always comes to aid those whose rights are violated, it protects them, gives them food and shelter. And now, we will help the representatives of the Palestinian people to adapt to the new conditions, to support them; we will provide them an opportunity to receive education and to work," Head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov said on his Telegram channel.
Previously, Dagestan stated its readiness to admit about 200 refugees from Palestine.
A special working group has been created in the region, led by Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Ramazan Dzhafarov, for admittance of the refugees. The Prime Minister of the region ordered medical facilities to consider a simplified healthcare provision procedure. The regional Ministry of the Interior was ordered to assist in provision of papers. The Ministry of Labor will work on employment of the evacuees, while the Ministry of Education and Science of Dagestan will work on education of children.
