Court fines Google $45,200 for posting false information about special military operation

MOSCOW, November 23 /TASS/. The Tagansky court in Moscow fined Google 4 million rubles ($45,200) for failing to remove false information about the special operation in Ukraine, as well as information prohibited in Russia, a TASS correspondent reported from the courtroom.

"To find Google guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and impose punishment in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 4 million rubles," the judge announced.

According to the court’s files, the company was notified of the need to remove videos on the YouTube portal that contain information aimed at discrediting the Russian armed forces.
