MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. Over 250,000 people from 183 countries applied for participation in the World Youth Festival, which will take place in Sirius in Russia’s south on March 1-7, 2024, says Xenia Razuvayeva, head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of Russia.

"Over 250,000 applications from 183 countries have been filed for the World Youth Festival," she said on her Telegram channel.

Under the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the World Youth Festival will take place in 2024. A total of 20,000 people, including 1,000 children aged between 14 and 18, will take part in the event after the competition. The event will take place in the Sirius federal territory between March 1 and 7. The regional program will take place in 30 cities of Russia between March 10 and 17, 2024.
