Court fines Telegram $45,367 for failure to delete banned information
As follows from the protocol, the company did not take measures to remove false information about the Russian Army, as well as information aimed at destabilizing the country and justifying extremist activities
MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. The Tagansky Court in Moscow has fined Telegram messenger 4 mln rubles ($45,367) for refusing to delete information banned in Russia, a TASS correspondent reported from the court’s press service.
"To find the Telegram company guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2, Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure to take measures to remove information prohibited in the Russian Federation) and impose a fine of 4 million rubles," the judge announced.
