BERLIN, November 8. /TASS/. Emergency response services in Hamburg have completed the operation in one of the local schools, where gunmen had been seen, and students can now leave the building, the Hamburg police said.

"Special forces have completed a check of the premises. Students will soon be let out of the school," the police said on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, eyewitnesses said that two intruders aged 12 to 16 years threatened one of the teachers. One of them allegedly carried a gun. Both are being searched for.

"During the search we did not find any traces indicating the suspects’ whereabouts," said police spokesman Holger Wehren. "We are continuing to interview witnesses, teachers and students."
