According to the newspaper, this time the festival, which lasted eight days, put a special emphasis on combining tradition and modernity. It presented the culture of Sanya, Lingshui Li Autonomous County, which borders it from the east, the cities of Wuzhishan (central part of the island) and Danzhou (northwest), and Tunchang County (located in the center of the province).

In addition to the art program, visitors to the Nanshan zone were treated to Hainan's cuisine. The festival was held in partnership with the Dazzu tourist zone (the city of Chongqing, southwest China), known for its rock reliefs dating back to the VII-X centuries.

According to Liu Chunli, head of the Hainan Tourist Attractions Association, who heads the Nanshan Zone operating company, this year's government-supervised festival enjoyed strong public support. According to him, the event allowed to significantly enrich the cultural and entertainment program, which local travel agencies offer vacationers.

Intangible heritage festivals in the Nanshan Tourism Zone have been held regularly since 2021. The aim is to introduce the international and Chinese public to Hainan's multifaceted and distinctive culture in greater detail.

Nanshan Mountain in Sanya is located on the southern coast of Hainan. A statue of the bodhisattva Guanyin stands 108 meters tall at the foot of the mountain on an island washed by the South China Sea. Tropical forests cover 97% of this natural highland, which ecologists say has the cleanest air and the clearest coastal waters in the country year-round.
