State Duma bans vape sales, including nicotine-free, to minors
The bill also extends all the existing restrictions for selling and advertising tobacco products on all nicotine-containing devices
MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. The Russian State Duma at a plenary session on Tuesday approved in the first reading a bill introducing harsher regulations on the sale of vaping devices. The document provides for a complete ban on selling such devices, including nicotine-free ones, to minors.
The new provisions introduce a complete ban on the sale of e-liquids, including those without nicotine, as the vape juice contributes to nicotine addiction. According to the document, the Russian government will compile a list of such e-liquids.
The bill also extends all the existing restrictions for selling and advertising tobacco products on all nicotine-containing devices. Therefore, according to the document, all existing restrictions on selling tobacco and nicotine-containing products to minors will be extended to vapes, including those that do not contain nicotine.
