GROZNY, March 7. /TASS/. The Akhmad-Khadzhi Kadyrov Regional Public Foundation will allocate funds to acquire housing for 9,000 families in Syria who lost their homes as a result of the devastating earthquake, Chechen Republic Head Ramzan Kadyrov said on Tuesday.

"Money from the foundation has been remitted to 50 families in the city of Aleppo to buy housing. Overall, plans call for encompassing 9,000 families under this initiative. More than 50 buildings have been ruined in Aleppo and twice as many have fallen into disrepair after the cataclysm. More than 100,000 people have lost their homes," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
