MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. The restart of the simplified issue of group visas on a bilateral basis is required for full-fledged resumption of inbound tourism from China to Russia, Vice President of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry Dmitry Gorin told TASS.

"There was an air service between Russia and China and the number of scheduled flight has been increased lately. Chinese tourists were able to get a visa to Russia even before, but the restart of the regime for the simplified issue of group visas on a bilateral basis is needed. This will be the only thing to promote bilateral development of tourist exchanges," the expert said.

Russian tourists are unable to get a tourist visa to China so far, Gorin noted. The entry to China subject to a PCR test available is authorized for special categories of citizens - working and educational visas and personal family trips.

The share of Chinese tourists in the Russian inbound tourist segment was at least 50%, he added.
