KIEV, November 7. /TASS/. A blogger who posted photos and videos of damaged infrastructure in the Kiev-controlled city of Zaporozhye has been detained in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) said on Monday, not disclosing the man’s identity.

"The SBU detained a blogger in Zaporozhye. <…> He had set up a specialized internet platform to post photo and video footage with his own comments and written description of the developments," it wrote on its Telegram channel.

According to the SBU, his posts were cited by the mass media. They were also used by blogger Anatoly Shariy, who is living in the European Union and who has been put on the wanted list in Ukraine on high treason charges.

The detained blogger may face a prison term of 12 years for sharing information about troop movements in a war-time situation, it said.

A law on criminal liability for disclosing information on Ukrainian troop movements amid martial law was signed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on March 26. Ukraine’s authorities also urge people to refrain from posting photos of damaged facilities and disclosing their locations.
