STOCKHOLM, October 21. /TASS/. Four Russians detained in Norway while taking photographs illegally in the Nordland province were released from custody on Friday, the Norwegian police said in a news release.

"Four Russian citizens detained in Mosjoen on October 11 and remanded to custody until Friday, October 21, have been released," the news release reads.

The police found no reason for their further detention.

As follows from the news release, the detainees’ car was searched and a large amount of photo equipment and images were found. The Russians denied any wrongdoing.

The photo equipment will be returned to the owners. The police assume that the Russians are tourists. However, although no evidence has been found they had been taking pictures of classified facilities, the case has not been closed yet. The PST security police will proceed with the investigation.
