Yamal launches e-ecology system to control waste management

The system will be used to track specialized vehicles to guarantee high quality of waste collection and transportation

TASS, October 19. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region launched the Electronic Ecology automatic information system to monitor regional waste-processing operators and companies, transporting household waste, the regional government's press service said on Tuesday.

"The automatic information system, Electronic Ecology, designed by Russia's Etton Company, will be used to control the regional waste management operators and transporters of household waste on the Yamal," the press service said.

The system will be used to track specialized vehicles to guarantee high quality of waste collection and transportation.

According to the press service, the region's 22 waste management operators control almost 190 waste carriers and twelve items of specialized equipment.

The Yamalo-Nenets Region's waste management system unites 25,200 waste accumulating locations.
