MOSCOW, October 18. /TASS/. The number of cyberattacks on IT structures of CSTO member states is growing constantly, says head of the CSTO Challenges and Threats Counteraction Department Tynchtykbek Samakov.

"The number of cyberattacks on IT structures of our states is growing constantly; they gain a complex, multi-factor nature," he said, speaking at the Russian Civic Chamber session Tuesday.

According to the official, an informational war was initiated against certain CSTO member states this year, with attacks being carried out not only by single hackers alone.

"We register hostile actions from some states who openly admit the presence of so-called cyber forces within their armed forces," Samakov said.

He also added that attempts to infiltrate networks of state bodies and corporate networks of lead companies of CSTO states are being registered increasingly frequently.
