MOSCOW, October 16. /TASS/. It is almost impossible to predict characteristics of further variants of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus because the researchers’ knowledge of biology of this virus is insufficiently good so far, chief research fellow of the Gamaleya Center Anatoly Altshtein told TASS.

"It is almost impossible to predict because mutations are accidental by nature and we do not know biology of this virus well enough to clearly predict, what role is played by a certain mutation in virus characteristics," the researcher said.
