TASS, October 12. Russia’s judicial system revealed on social media Wednesday that Bryansk’s Sovetsky district court arrested a Ukrainian citizen for two months who was plotting an act of terrorism at a transport terminal in the aforementioned city.

"<...> By a ruling of the Sovetsky district court of Bryansk, a citizen of Ukraine suspected of committing crimes under part 1 of Article 30, item ‘a’ part 2 of Article 205 (Preparation for a terrorist act) and part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (Illegal acquisition, storage, carrying and transportation of explosives and explosive devices in an organized group), was detained for two months," the report said.

Earlier, the Russian Federal Security Service’s Center of Public Relations reported that the agency had foiled an act of terrorism at a transport terminal in Bryansk, plotted by Ukrainian intelligence services, and detained a citizen of Ukraine, who had arrived from Kiev through Estonia.

As the Center of Public Relations added, the man cobbled together an improvised explosive device in a rented apartment under the control of a Ukrainian intelligence agent. Later, he scouted out one of the warehouses of a transport and logistics company in order to plant the device and set off a powerful explosion. During the course of the investigation, an explosive device weighing about 3 kg in TNT equivalent and means of communication to maintain contact with Ukrainian intelligence agents were seized from the suspect.
