Russia records 3,004 new daily COVID-19 cases – crisis center

MOSCOW, June 26. /TASS/. Confirmed novel coronavirus cases in Russia grew by 3,004 in the past day and 55 coronavirus patients died, the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Sunday.

On June 25, Russia registered 3,072 new daily COVID-19 cases and 61 fatalities, which totaled 18,418,881 and 380,892, respectively, since the start of the pandemic.

Russia’s coronavirus recoveries increased by 2,713 in the past day compared to 3,454 a day before, totaling 17,845,513. For the first time since February 21, the number of coronavirus recoveries turned out to be less than new COVID-19 cases.

Coronavirus hospitalizations across Russia totaled 628 patients in the past 24 hours compared to 1,152 a day before, showing a 45.5% decline. The number of coronavirus hospitalizations decreased in 63 Russian regions and increased in 12 other constituent entities and remained unchanged in 10 other regions, the latest figures show.

Confirmed coronavirus cases in Moscow increased by 232 in the past day compared to 230 a day before, totaling 2,776,445, the latest figures suggest.

Coronavirus fatalities in the Russian capital grew by 15 in the past 24 hours compared to 14 a day before, totaling 44,086. Coronavirus recoveries in Moscow grew by 166 to 2,585,826, the crisis center reported.
