MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. President Vladimir Putin took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by the Kremlin wall to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

Putin bent his knee before the memorial, straightened ribbons on the wreath made of red roses, bowed his head and honored the memory of the fallen soldiers with a minute of silence.

The ceremony was also attended by war veterans, participants in the special military operation in Ukraine, graduates of higher military institutions.
