MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. A supporter of the Islamic State international terrorist group (outlawed in Russia) apprehended in the Karachay-Circassian Region in the North Caucasus confessed to plotting a terror attack, as follows from a video released by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) on Friday.
"I was detained for making an improvised explosive and joining the Islamic State. My improvised explosive was found. I had the intention to go and set it off," the detainee said.
The FSB press office reported earlier that the detained individual was planning to commit an act of terror at one of facilities of government and law-enforcement agencies on an instruction from an IS foreign emissary. The man was apprehended during his preparations for a terrorist attack in Karachayevsk.
The supporter of the Islamic State international terror group who confessed to plotting a terror attack was arrested, the FSB press office said.
"He has been arrested," the press office said.
