Kane Tanaka was born on January 2, 1903
TOKYO, April 25. /TASS/. Kane Tanaka, a Japanese woman considered the world's oldest person, has died aged 119, local broadcaster NHK reported on Thursday.
Tanaka was born on January 2, 1903, and worked in her family’s grocery store until she was 103 years old. Her husband and eldest son were killed during World War II.
She lived in a nursing home in Fukuoka prefecture since 2005.
In 2019, Tanaka was recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest living person.
