MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. The Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) has detained 91 participants of the nationalist movement in the south of Ukraine during the week and seized 283 firearms, the press service of the Russian National Guard told TASS on Friday.
"Soldiers and officers of the Russian National Guard provide security in the liberated territories. During the week in the south of Ukraine, units of the National Guard detained 91 participants of the nationalist movement, found 41 units of military and special automotive equipment, 2 caches. They seized 283 firearms, 30 grenade launchers, 166 hand grenades, 514 shells and mines, over 43,000 rounds of ammunition and two improvised explosive devices," the report reads.
In addition, the National Guard noted that its servicemen ensure the issuance of humanitarian aid to residents of Ukraine and carry out tasks to return to peaceful life in settlements freed from nationalists.
"The National Guard together with the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry continues to work to support the peaceful population of Ukraine. Over the past week in the southern regions of the country the National Guard servicemen ensured the issuance of 187 tonnes of humanitarian cargo. More than 32,000 residents of Berdyansk, Genichesk, Kakhovka, Melitopol, Primorsk, Kherson and other settlements received food and basic necessities," the press service concluded.
