MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The Columbine movement (recognized as terrorist by Russia’s Supreme Court) has been listed as a terrorist and extremist organization, the federal financial monitoring watchdog said on its website.

Russia’s Supreme Court on February 2 considered an administrative motion filed by the prosecutor-general for recognizing Columbine as a terrorist organization. The motion was sustained and the organization’s activity outlawed in Russia.

Earlier, the federal security service FSB said that a Russian citizen, born in 2005, was detained in Sochi on the suspicion he was the administrator of the movement’s Internet community. He testified that he had received the right to administer the terrorist resource from a Ukrainian citizen nicknamed White Rose, with whom he had maintained contact via the messaging application Telegram. Asked by an FSB operative if he repented, the young man answered in the affirmative.
