Kremlin slams possible restrictions on IT specialists' departure from Russia as fake news
In this context, Dmitry Peskov recalled the recent initiatives and acts adopted to support employees in the IT sphere against the backdrop of the crisis
MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov slammed reports in social networks about the alleged preparation of restrictions on the departure of IT specialists from the country or additional checks on them as fake news.
"There are no such bills and there can't be," the Kremlin spokesman told reporters when asked on Friday whether there really is a bill that would involve additional checks for IT specialists at the Federal Security Service in case they want to leave Russia or restrictions on their departure.
"Simply put, this is out of the question, it would be a violation of the citizens’ constitutional rights, whether they are IT industry employees or not," he stressed.
In this context, Peskov recalled the recent initiatives and acts adopted to support employees in the IT sphere against the backdrop of the crisis. "These measures say the opposite," the Kremlin spokesman pointed out. "To sum up, we are talking about another fake news," he concluded.
