Access to Twitter restricted in Russia — regulator
The decision to restrict access to the resource was made by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation on February 24
MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. Access to Twitter has been restricted in Russia, according to data of Russia’s mass media watchdog, Roskomnadzor.
According to the information of the service, access to the social network has been restricted based on Article 15.3 of the federal law on information, information technologies and information protection which regulates the restrictions on accessing sites containing calls for mass disorder, extremist activity, participation in mass (public) events conducted in violation of the established order.
The decision to restrict access to the resource was made by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation on February 24.
Earlier on Friday, the media watchdog decided to block the social network Facebook in Russia.
