HAIKOU /China/, December 13. /TASS/. The resort city of Sanya has launched a series of events in connection with the opening of Hainan International Fashion Week 2021. The Hainan Daily reported that all of the shows and presentations will be held under the slogan "Hainan trend: Fashion without borders".

According to the newspaper, the organizers plan to show the latest creations of famous Chinese designers and new popular clothing brands in the coming days. Six shows will be devoted to introducing traditional Chinese as well as international fashion trends to the public.

The fashion week is organized with the participation of the local government, the Hainan Broadcasting Group and the Sanya Tourism and Culture Investment Group. Among the thematic areas that were presented at the opening ceremony were folklore, modern technology and space exploration. The details of the first shows were worked out together with the cultural innovation division of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation.

"These events are based on the concept of a 'nature show,' and the catwalk showcases the latest trends in youth fashion," said Gu Xiaomeng, producer of Hainan’s Top Fashion TV show. She said the fashion shows in Hainan are different from similar events in Beijing or Shanghai and give viewers a special, unique experience.

Leading designers, critics and other haute couture specialists, as well as representatives of companies promoting luxury brands came to Sanya for the cultural events. It is expected that new products and interesting styles for this winter season, as well as for the upcoming spring season, will appear in the Chinese clothing market as a result of these events.
