Russia to allocate funds to create system of rehabilitation after coronavirus, says Putin

MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. Russian authorities plan to allocate funds to create a system of rehabilitation for citizens, who had coronavirus, President Vladimir Putin said during his annual Q&A session on Wednesday.

"We will invest considerable funds, separate allocations have been provided for the rehabilitation system," he said.

The authorities intend to conclude contracts on acquisition of necessary equipment, the president added.

"Special equipment is needed to undergo rehabilitation, those funds are being allocated," he said.

Earlier, speaking at the United Russia party’s congress on Saturday, Russian President urged the government to start a special program on development of the medical rehabilitation system in 2021 and allocate at least 100 bln rubles ($1.3 bln) for it, with 60 bln rubles, meaning the main part of the funds, "to be provided as early as by 2026".
