MOSCOW, June 23. /TASS/. The Gamaleya Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology has submitted documents to Russia’s Health Ministry for permission to conduct clinical trials of the Sputnik V vaccine against the new coronavirus among teenagers, head of the Center Alexander Gintsburg told TASS.
"We have submitted documents for this research to the Health Ministry. The documents will also be considered by the Ethics Council," he said.
On Monday, Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, announced that clinical trials of the Sputnik V vaccine among 12-17 year olds would begin in Moscow in early July. Volunteers are being recruited now.
