MOSCOW, June 23. /TASS/. The Kremlin has no information that any Russian regions intend to introduce a lockdown due to the coronavirus situation, and no such plans are in place at the federal level, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"We have no information that anyone is discussing the complete lockdown," the Kremlin’s spokesman said. Peskov gave a negative answer to the question of whether such issue is on the federal agenda.

"In this aspect, it is not important anymore what we consider, it is important here what measures a region takes in the context of special powers," Peskov said, responding to a question whether the Kremlin views pandemic control measures introduced in the Moscow region as sufficient. "It is the region to determine measures that should be taken in current conditions," he added.
