First batch of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine arrives in Nicaragua

According to official data, since the start of the pandemic, Nicaragua has registered about 6,500 cases of COVID-19, and 173 patients have died

HAVANA, February 25. /TASS/. The first batch of the Russian COVID-19 vaccine "Sputnik V" has arrived in Nicaragua, Vice President of Nicaragua Rosario Murillo informed on Wednesday.

"Yesterday evening, we gratefully received the Sputnik V vaccine as a symbol of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the government and the people of Nicaragua," the country’s state radio quotes her as saying.

According to official data, since the start of the pandemic, Nicaragua has registered about 6,500 cases of COVID-19, and 173 patients have died.
