Kremlin regrets details of Putin’s meeting with media editors-in-chief were leaked

The meeting between the Russian president and heads of 35 leading Russian media outlets was held on February 10 via a videoconference

MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. The Kremlin regrets that certain members of the meeting held by President Vladimir Putin with editors-in-chief of Russia’s leading media outlets shared the details of this conversation. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov expects that such incidents will not be repeated in the future as it undermines the atmosphere of trust.

"The meeting was very interesting, but to our regret some of its members snatched the opportunity to share the results of the conversation and frankly leaked a part of it to their colleagues," Peskov commented Thursday.

"In this regard, we regret the incident because [the meeting] was off the record, without quotes," the spokesman stressed. "We regret that some members leaked information about this conversation to their colleagues, it does not boost the atmosphere of trust," he reiterated.
