National Guard says its website came under several DDos attacks from abroad
The source said it was not the first cyberattack against the agency’s website from outside Russia
MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. The official website of Russia’s National Guard (Rosgvardiya) came under a massive nighttime DDos attack on February 5. Rosgvardiya’s press service told TASS it was not the first attack from the territory of the European Union.
"The official website of Rosgvardiya in the early hours of February 5, 2021 came under a massive three-hour long DDos attack. The sources of the negative impact were abroad," a source said.
The latter stressed it was not the first cyberattack against the agency’s website from outside Russia. "Earlier, such DDos attacks were repelled on January 23 and 31. It was found that the attacks were conducted from the territory of a number of EU countries. All attempts at upsetting the website’s operation were successfully neutralized," the agency said.
Also, the press service said that effective resistance became possible following thorough analysis of cyberattacks against its resources in the summer of 2019.
