All minors held at unauthorized Moscow rally released, commissioner says

No one of the detained minors needed medical assistance, commissioner for children’s rights in Moscow Olga Yaroslavskaya noted

MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. All underage persons detained at an unauthorized rally in downtown Moscow on Saturday have been released and have been handed over to their parents, a commissioner for children’s rights in Moscow, Olga Yaroslavskaya, told TASS on Sunday.

No one of the detained minors needed medical assistance, she noted.

Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Anna Kuznetsova said earlier some 70 minors had been held in Moscow, according to preliminary estimates.

"All teenagers, who were detained at an unauthorized rally in Moscow on January 23, have been released from police departments after their parents arrived. No one of the detained children needed medical assistance. I have also spoken to all the children," Yaroslavskaya said.
