COVID-19 situation in Moscow to improve by end of January, Mayor hopes

Moscow is in the first place in Russia by the number of the coronavirus infections, in all, 877,428 cases of the infection have been detected in the city

MOSCOW, January 14. /TASS/. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin hopes that the epidemiological situation in the capital with the coronavirus will improve by the end of January. He said this in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel on Thursday.

"Be it as it may, I sense that some kind of a decrease should begin in January. If not now, then in two-three weeks. Before the end of January we should see some positive dynamics," the mayor said.

Moscow is in the first place in Russia by the number of the coronavirus infections. In all, 877,428 cases of the infection have been detected in the city. Some 722,487 patients have recovered, 12,241 patients died.
