This year’s record high 566 coronavirus fatalities registered in Russia over past 24 hours

MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. The number of COVID-19 fatalities in Russia over the past 24 hours has increased by 566 compared to 531 the day before. In all, 63,370 patients died of the infection, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Wednesday.

This is the highest number of fatalities since the beginning of the year. The last time the crisis center reported more fatalities was on December 31 when 593 deaths were registered.

According to the crisis center, the provisional lethality of the disease (the final one can be determined only after the end of the epidemic) has risen to 1.83%.

Over the past 24 hours, 78 fatalities were registered in St. Petersburg, 26 - in the Moscow Region, 22 fatalities - in the Rostov Region, 18 - in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 17 fatalities - in the Voronezh Region, and 16 fatalities were recorded in the Irkutsk Region.
