All Russians willing to return home evacuated from Bangladesh

Currently 25 Russian specialists continue to work in Bangladesh, according to the spokesperson for the Russian embassy in Dhaka

MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. All Russian nationals who wanted to return home in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic have been evacuated from Bangladesh, Amatula Khanova, a spokesperson for the Russian embassy in Dhaka, told TASS on Tuesday.

According to the Russian diplomat, the embassy continues to keep an eye on the situation with compatriots staying in that country.

"As for our compatriots, there is no urgency for them to return to the homeland," she said when asked about those Russians who are staying in Bangladesh.

She said that currently 25 Russian specialists continue to work in Bangladesh. But they are not Rosatom employees, she added.

On April 6, as many as 178 Rosatom employees who had worked on the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project returned to Russia.
